The MLB season is almost over and some teams are looking great. Here are the top 5 teams since the trade deadline.

  1. Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 since deadline and 69-50

After adding a couple good pitchers during the deadline the Phillies have been doing great. 7-3 since the deadline is tied for 4th best in the MLB in that stretch. They are also atop their division and have a good chance of the World Series

  1. San Diego Padres since deadline 7-3 and 68-52

The Padres added some great pieces during the trade deadline one of which was elite closer Mason Miller. Ever since they have been great. They have taken advantage of the Dodgers slump and are now tied for the division lead. If things keep going like this the Padres will win their division, which is tough because you've got the Dodgers and the Giants who have been on a huge slump.

  1. Cleveland Guardians since deadline 8-2 and 62-56

At the start of the year everyone knew that the Guardians were not going to be as good as they were the year before. After all, they had lost star first baseman, Josh Naylor. Everyone was right, well for a bit. After a terrible start to the year the Guardians have been great since the deadline and are now only 1.5 games back of a wild card spot. They have been 8-2 since the deadline, which is 3rd best in baseball.

  1. Seattle Mariners since deadline 9-1 and 67-53

The last couple of years the Mariners have been great at the deadline. They have gotten players like Randy Arozerana, Luis Castillo, and this year Josh Naylor and Eugenio Suarez. Since they picked those guys up the have been 9-1 since the deadline and are on an 8 game win streak. They are also tied for the number 1 spot in their division.

  1. Milwaukee Brewers. Since deadline 10-0 and 75-44

The last couple of weeks the Brewers have been on fire and they are on an 11 game win streak along with being the best record in the MLB. When you think of the Brewers you think of a team who every year they some how squeeze into the playoffs. Well not this year. This year they might be the number one team in all of baseball, which is very surprising.
