When I Saw a Black Bear
This summer I saw a black bear. It was at a camp called Wilderness Awareness School. At the camp we learned different bird calls, how to identify berries and even how to build a shelter with only sticks. We also took a 2.6 mile hike through the forest and into some clay pits.

On the last day of camp, we were deep in the forest when we saw a black bear. It was big and chunky. I was in the middle of eating my lunch, so I had to clean everything up very fast. We had to abandon our bandanas and someone even had to abandon their water bottle. After we escaped we told one of the teachers to radio everyone and tell them about the bear.

After that we played some games and at the end of the day we dumped water on the counselors. I had a blast at this camp.
