My favorite food

Everyone likes sushi. It is my favorite food. It comes in many different ways like rolls, sashimi and, my favorite, nigiri. My favorite fish that goes on sushi is salmon. Where I live there are some good sushi places like Kura Sushi, Sushi joa and many more.

Here are some sushi facts:

1. Sushi was invented in Japan
2. Sushi was made on accident: Back in the 1300s, fish used to be stored in rice to preserve it. One day someone decided to eat the rice too.
3. Becoming a sushi chef takes over 10 years of training
4. Sushi is popular with soy sauce
5. Sushi is now sold all over the world

One of the most famous sushi chefs is Jiro Ono.  I watched his documentary called "Jiro Dreams of Sushi". He has a famous restaurant in Tokyo and is considered the greatest living sushi chef. He is 97 years old!

When I was 4 our family went to Japan. It was there where I first tried sushi. It was love at first bite 🍣 😋
